Linux Systems AdministratorPermanentPredominantly Remote (visits to Cardiff office for training and team meet ups)Up to £50,000REED Technology are pleased to be working with defence technology company who are looking to recruit a new Linux Systems Administrator to join their company.This role arises as a result of company growth and will see you working within a team primarily responsible for assisting with the deployment and monitoring of global systems and subsequent raising / responding to service tickets across these projects.This role would be ideal for a systems administrator who has significant support experience (1st -3rd) line within a predominantly Linux environment, has had some exposure to containerization (Docker), looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to usetheir skills and experience within a growing commercial global enterprise.Responsibilities include: Network configuration Virtual environment configuration Storage configuration Provide on-going systems support to end customer systems as well as internal environments (as used by Development, Test, Training), as applicable.As part of the role, you will be immersed heavily in a Linux oriented virtualised environment. This will predominantly be Ubuntu in a virtualised manner running Docker as the platform provider to a customised application stack.
