We believe that what we do makes a real difference to the lives of our clients, and the role of Legal Cashier is integral to ensuring that we can do just that.We have an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the Legal Cashiering department, helping the company to achieve excellent standards of client care. As part of the role, you will process financial transactions relating to client filesin an accurate and timely manner.Main responsibilities will include:

• Receiving instructions from case handlers and processing cheques received into the company accordingly, whilst ensuring SRA Accounts Rules are adhered to
• Managing transfers between client and office account
• Making payments from both client and office account
• Processing bills to clients
• Banking, processing, and generating cheques both in and out of the company
• Running reports on key financial aspects of cases
• Processing expenses to be recharged to clients
• Ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner and in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules
• Assisting Senior Legal Cashiers and other members of the wider finance department as and when required
• Liaising with case handlers to deal with any queries

About you:

• Has solid experience of working in a legal finance environment
• Previous experience working in a similar role is required
• It is a great opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced environment if you are looking for promotion
• ILFM diploma or studying towards one is desirable
• Good knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules, along with knowledge of Anti Money Laundering Regulations and relevant HMRC regulations (e.g., VAT on Disbursement rules)
• Uses technical skills and knowledge to perform role to the highest standards and to the highest level of financial compliance.
• Works to the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail
