Law Cost DraftspersonCardiff / RemoteNewLaw Solicitors is one of the UKs most innovative and fastest growing law firms, specialising in all areas of personal injury law from whiplash claims to catastrophic injury cases to Welfare, Wills, Trusts, Court of Protection and Probate. We believethat what we do makes a real difference to the lives of our clients, the role of Cost Draftsperson is integral to ensuring that we can do just that.What does a day in the life of a Cost Draftspersonlook like

  • Preparing and submitting claims for costs for assessment and payment.
  • Drafting and management of a caseload of files.
  • Liaising and advising fee earners and support staff in relation to a variety of legal costs matters.
  • Ensuring the workflow and processes and procedures related to costs are followed.
  • Providing technical advice and supervision to junior members of the team.
  • Acting as mentor to junior members of the team.
  • Conducting negotiations related to costs issues
About you
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Strong relationship building skills, both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A dedication to your own personal development, and the development of those around you.
