Kinship Social Worker (22.5 hours a week)Somerset County CouncilPay rate - £38 an hour (Umbrella)3 month initial contract

This is a part time post in the Special Guardian Support area of the Kinship Team.
The candidate will be undertaking an assessment of support needs and completing support plans for SG families.
Children requiring support will have adverse childhood experiences. The candidate will be able to recognise what support the family needs and be able to identify an appropriate intervention.
There may be some direct work with children and families so knowledge of therapeutic parenting is helpful.
We also complete applications to the Adoption Support Fund - knowledge in this area is helpful.
Working with SG families is often complex and as this is a 3 month post, we need the candidate to have prior knowledge of Kinship team work as a minimum and ideally, has worked in the support area rather than assessment area of the team.
