They also specialise in Grid Connection Studies, Earthing Services Design, New ConnectionsSupport and Lightning Protection.Formed in 2016, they now operate internationally in the power sector with offices in both Bristol and Cardiff. They have a team of qualified power systems engineers who have many years of experience working for energy companies, distribution network operators,and engineering consultancies. The roleWe are looking for a Graduate or Junior Earthing and Lightning Protection Engineer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for a graduate looking to start their career in consultancy with an excellent potential for progression inside the company.As part of their Earthing and Lightning Protection team, you will be involved in a wide variety of projects and will have the ability to apply and develop the technical knowledge gained.In this role the successful candidate can expect to gain experience in the following areas:* Site based earthing system measurements.* Measurement interpretation and analysis.* HV earthing system design and analysis.* Lightning protection risk assessment and design.* The use of industry leading software such as SES CDEGS, AutoCAD, RESIX+.* Preparation of commercial and technical proposals.* Preparation of technical reports.The candidateWe are looking for an ambitious individual with a willingness to learn and develop themselves in the power systems industry.* Confidence when communicating with clients, able to discuss complex issues in a concise manner in both written and oral form.* Able to understand and prioritise customers needs and to develop an awareness of the power industry.* Have a proactive and self-motivated approach by further developing your technical skills and applying them in a commercial environment.* Ability to develop and apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to establish the accuracy and relevance of the information.Requirements* A graduate with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related subject.
