Job Description

Advanced Secure Technologies are a Cardiff based company that helps protect organisations from document fraud. They aim to create a safer business environment for their customers and reduce the risk of fraudulent attack. Their key markets include the legal,financial and education sectors.They are looking for a Junior Business Analyst To provide business analysis skills and assistance with product management to enable the business to develop and deliver products, (including technology products) both internally and externally. Supporting theachievement of company revenue targets.Main Accountabilities

  • Ensure that requirements are captured, elicited, negotiated, documented and tracked for all the products of the business.
  • Liaise with stakeholders internally and (where appropriate / necessary / relevant) externally to conduct all stages of the analysis process.
  • Assist the Head of Product Development in creating, updating and maintaining product backlogs.
  • Write and assist with project initiation documents, project viability analysis and other project inception processes.
  • Involved in the complete software development lifecycle to ensure requirements are delivered according to requirements.
Other Functions
  • Review and (where appropriate) propose solution definitions
  • Assist with business-wide projects / internal business software and processes.
Experience / QualificationsEssential
  • Drafting high level requirements / project goals
  • Requirements gathering
  • Business process analysis
  • Internal and external stakeholder management
  • Product backlog management
  • Understanding of technical terms and ability to communicate effectively with technical colleagues
  • Ability to work autonomously where necessary; a self-starter
Desired
  • ISEB Business Analysis Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Data analysis / data modelling skills
  • Degree-level educated
  • Knowledge of project management techniques / principles
  • Experience of defect management
