Job Description

Reed Technology are delighted to be working with a fantastic public sector organisation with their search for an IT Manager to join their team.This role will initially be on a 12 months FTChowever there is the possibility of an extensionThe Role:

  • Sitting within the Digital Transformation team the IT Manager will be accountable for the operation, maintenance and development of the IM&T business critical systems and processes that support business operations.
  • The post holder will have direct responsibility for ensuring onsite IT systems, networks, telephony, print and audio-visual solutions are fit for purpose on a 24/7 basis and underpinned with robust and secure infrastructure
Key objectives of the position
  • To manage relationships with HEIWs 3rd party systems vendors ensuring appropriate SLAs are in place and performance managed to guarantee issues resolution times are within agreed timescales.
  • To provide a support desktop services, IT security, information governance, antivirus and networking.
  • To ensure maximum service availability of business-critical IT systems, working with suppliers to ensure appropriate SLA agreements are in place and performance managed.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Specialist cross discipline knowledge of IT systems, configurations, procedures and practices.
  • Experience of leading, planning and managing IT programmes and projects
  • Experience of managing change within a complex technical environment.
  • Sound technical infrastructure backgroundideally within the public sector
  • Ability to manage procurement processes including business case development
  • Experience in financial management including the ability to manage significant budgets
