Job Description

Internal Sales Executive - Spider is advertising on behalf of the leading independent UK distributor of thermal and acoustic insulation, interior systems, fire protection, construction products, roofing and external faade materials.As the Distributor of Choice, they take pride in providing the highest level of service and support. They have around 600 employees, with specialist teams dedicated to their key market sectors, and they work hard to add value to every project.They are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive to join their Cardiff, Wales branch.Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the Internal Sales Executive will provide support across the branch, to maximise enquiry conversions to orders, all within the guidelines of pricing policies. You will achieve sales budget and contribution targets, actively seek sales opportunities by up selling or cross selling throughpro-active targeted calls. You will also continuously build relationships internally and externally with customers.Other key responsibilities of the Internal Sales Executive include:

  • Answer general customer enquiries, advising product availability, delivery dates, transport schedules and product lead times
  • Deal with customer complaints in a fair and reasonable manner ensuring to resolve problems quickly and satisfactorily
  • Follow up and file quotations issues to check competitiveness and to secure sales
  • Provide feedback on pricing levels to managers
  • Maintain content and accuracy of sales daybook
  • Assist with project tracking of potential business
  • Proactively call dormant and targeted accounts as requested by management
  • Respond to telephone sales enquiries
  • Assist in collecting funds from debtors
  • Keep prices lists updated
  • Issue price quotations
  • Offer credit facilities to prospective customers, observing credit control procedures
As our Internal Sale Executive, you will ideally have experience within a similar role within customer service and sales. Ideally you will have gained this experience within the distribution/merchant/manufacturer industry. You will be detailconscious, personable, results driven, and business focused. You will also be proactive with a positive can-do attitude, high attention to detail and be proficient with IT, particularly Excel, Work and Outlook.On offer is a competitive salary dependent on experience, plus bonus scheme. This is a full-time position 40 hours per week.
