Job Title: Information Security ArchitectLocation: Cardiff - Fully RemoteSalary: £80,000 - £90,000 + bonus + benefitsAre you an experienced Information Security Architect looking for your next challenge If so this could be the ideal opportunity for you. My client, a leading financial services business and a household name with an excellent reputation are currently investingheavily within their Information Security team. As part of this investment they are building out what will be a best practice Information Security team and are looking to hire an experienced Information Security Architect to join the team.As a Security Architect you will operate within the CTO Security Architecture team. Your primary responsibilities are designing the security elements of IT solution architectures, and leading the architectural design of security-specific capabilities, toensure alignment to the Enterprise Principles, Roadmaps and Vision.As a Security Architect you will also champion best practices, support or lead the definition of enterprise strategic roadmaps, and offer coaching and consultancy to the Tribes and project teams. You will also take part in the governance forums to ensurethe ongoing alignment to the enterprise roadmaps and patterns.Key responsibilities:

• Work with IT Architecture colleagues to design IT and InfoSec solution architectures. You will take end-to-end responsibility for the security solution, driving the high level design, supporting engineering in the low level design, through to architectureassurance reviews of the delivered solution.
• Work with InfoSec colleagues to identify and assess security risks, define security control requirements, and understand the changing nature of risk as the IT landscape evolves.
• Produce effective architecture documentation that enables all relevant business and technical audiences, and communicate these across IT where appropriate.
• Provide security architecture consultancy services to internal customers by offering technical security guidance, and ensuring architecture principles, design standards and operational requirements are met.
• Provide security coaching and advice to senior developers, Tech Leads and Head of Tech.
• Ensuring delivery of projects on time and to budget, by adopting delivery-focussed Admiral working practices and methodologies.
• Chair and participate in Technical Design Authority forums and act as an escalation point for wider Enterprise governance.
• Work with the Enterprise Architects to understand the business goals and vision, and contribute to the Enterprise Roadmaps.
• Support the creation and maintenance of key architecture documentation, including current architecture, target architectures, strategic roadmaps, and architecture patterns.
• Work with the rest of the Security Architecture team in developing and refining the security architecture framework and processes.

Skills and Experience required:

• Proven experience of working within a similar Information Security Architect position.
• Good broad background and experience across a wide variety of information security projects.
• Excellent communicator, verbally and written.
• Track record of solving complex and exciting problems and challenges.
• Broad knowledge of security and a strong technical grounding. Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM etc are desirable.
• Extensive experience of working in security architecture / solution design roles.
• Experience of working in large organisations in regulated sectors (eg., finance, government)
• Experience of one or more of the major cloud technologies (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Knowledge of / certification in recognised architecture frameworks (eg., SABSA, TOGAF) and the ability to apply these in a pragmatic way would be an advantage.
• Experience of delivering secure solutions in Agile / Scaled Agile / DevSecOps environments would be an advantage.
