Job Description

New Position: Image Quality Manager / Senior Image Quality Engineer / SQERole: Full-time Permanent PositionSalary: £68,750 - £80,000 pa.Additional Package Details:

Mercury Hampton, in partnership with one of our global Electronic Imaging Device Manufacturers, are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Quality Engineer. You will have full responsibility of heading up the overall standards of high-resolutionImage Quality for both existing products, products in the current road map, and future products that are currently at R&D phase.This is a brand-new position following a period of increased growth and a move away from 3rd party suppliers who currently provide support in this area.The Role of the Senior Image Quality Manager / EngineerAs the Senior Image Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the following areas of delivery:
  • Quality of existing and newly developing products
  • Performance and maintenance of the Image quality function within all product range
  • Cross functional support of new device models, with input upon Image Quality critical components and new technologies and development of EVK platforms
  • Image Quality Algorithms
To be suitable for the position as Senior Image Quality Engineer, you should have experience with the following areas & technologies:
  • Competent in C Programming Language
  • Python, MATLAB & Shell (desirable)
  • Previous Experience within an Image Quality Function
  • Interpreting Raw Data Sets from sensors then converting code to video via DSP (Digital Sensor Processor)
  • Experience in camera systems operation, calibration, and optical measurements
  • Image processing algorithms (Auto-Exposure, Auto Focus and Auto White Balancing)
  • Knowledge of CMOS sensor operation (complementary metal oxide semiconductors)
