Job Description

The HSE Advisor will be responsible for supporting the Companys aims and objectives relating to Environmental, Health and Safety systems, promoting high standards in all disciplines and continuous improvement activities.Client DetailsMy client are an established manufacturing organisation who continue to grow.DescriptionAs the HSE Advisor you will help foster a culture where HSE is at the heart of all business decisions. In addition, supporting the HSE Manager and Teams with compliance with all regulations and standards applicable to the design, manufacture and supply chain.

  • Assume primary responsibility for EHS matters in the EHS Managers absence.
  • Develop and implement Environmental, Health and Safety policies and codes of practice.
  • Take ownership of and continuously improve the ISO 45001 Safety Management System
  • Coordinate and lead up timely investigations into incidents; establish root causes, corrective actions and an investigation report.
  • Ensure exposure to hazardous substances such as; noise, dust/fume, chemicals are minimised, measured and results acted upon.
  • Ensure HSE related issues are communicated in a timely manner to the HSE Manager.
  • Drive a sustainable culture change ensuring that all functions/layers of the business are fully engaged in HSE matters and take responsibility for their own safety as well as others
    • ProfileAs the HSE Advisor you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Demonstrable health and safety experience ideally gained in a manufacturing environment
  • Environmental awareness - IEMA foundation certificate preferable
  • ISO 45001 Internal Auditor
  • Up to date and relevant Knowledge of the UK regulatory process and regulations
  • Understanding of management systems approach such as ISO45001, ISO14001 and internal auditing
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner when dealing within the company and with external agencies
  • Competent computer skills to perform essential function listed above.
