Job Description

HR Recruiter Contractual Terms Position: HR RecruiterDepartment: Human ResourcesReports to: Managing DirectorWeekly Hours of Work: 37.5 hoursContract Type: PermanentLocation: RemoteSalary Range: £24,000-£26,000 per annumRegulated Activity for Working with Children: NoEmergency Phone: NoData Access: Sales/Marketing/Operations/AdmissionsLast Updated: 13 January 2022Overview: We are looking for an HR Recruiter to work closely with the operations Teams, as well as our Central Services HR Manager in providing an excellent service.With experience of working in a HR department, you will bring experience of working practices and have a desire to implement processes across the group. Coaching Managers on these, maintaining a positive customer experience and getting involved in key projectssuch as improving Employee Engagement, policy work and implementation of a HR system. This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon your HR knowledge and experience to continue your professional development.You will have experience of working within a HR department and will have experience of managing large volumes of recruitment campaigns including onboarding checks.Main Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for all recruitment across the organisation. Supporting Managers to compose adverts, interview questions and contracts
  • Training Managers in good interview skills, as well as leading interviews for candidates.
  • Complete onboarding including references, DBS, Prohibition Teacher Checks prior to start dates being confirmedCarry out HR inductions for new starters
  • Assist the HR Manager with creating HR Masterclasses and rolling these out to all Managers
  • Manage the HR inbox ensuring that all emails are handled and responded to in an effective and timely manner with an aim to achieve first contact resolution, escalating queries/issues to the HR Manager when necessary. Update and maintain Employee Files andHR databases.
  • Process DBS renewals after 3 years
  • Assist the HR Manager with implementing a HR System
  • Assist the HR Manager with reviewing/composing policies and creating processes linked to the policies
  • Administer all starter, leavers and change processes, including updating payroll
  • Respond to general enquiries timely
  • Provide initial guidance, interpretation and advice of Company policies and processes, HR Administration and Systems; escalating to the HR Manager when necessary
  • Accurate input and maintenance of employee data in HR Systems when processing updates relating to the employee life cycle. Continuously ensuring compliance to the Data Protection Act and GDPR
  • Process fit notes/self certs/return to works documents whilst ensuring absences are recorded correctly and that any concerns with the documentation is flagged to the HR Manager

  • You must have significant experience in recruitment and HR administration
  • Have excellent administration and organisational skills and ability/desire to amend and adapt processes to improve efficiency
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a focus on providing excellent customer services to all
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a changing environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and standard office equipment
  • Able to always maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Able to provide accurate and timely guidance and advice
  • It is imperative that you have experience in large volume recruitment campaigns, as you will be responsible for hiring approx. 300seasonal offers for one area of the business each year. It would be desirable for you to have experience in processing DBSchecks.
  • CIPD level 3 qualification is desirable
