Human Resources Manager - Cardiff Law FirmMy Client is a modern and progressive law firm. Their clients include businesses and private clients all over England and Wales. The delivery of their services is centred on specialist practice areas ensuring our clients receive an expert and excellent service throughout the UK. They are a growing law firm where people are the core focus of their business.My client are looking for an experienced HR professional to join their Management team, providing support to the business across 4 offices for 130 employees.The successful individual will be personable, professional and flexible in their approach to continually develop and shape the delivery of a proactive and effective HR service. This is a rewarding generalist role where every day is varied.Overseeing the smooth running of all aspects of internal HR across all office locations you will provide advice and guidance to line managers in HR areas including, performance management, communications, well-being and absence management.Reporting directly to the CEO and updating the Management Board at quarterly meetings, you will work as part of a close-knit team of managers and will be expected to maintain effective and professional relationships with all team leaders and employees throughout the business whilst providing confidential support and assistance.The key responsibilities of the role will also include:Keeping up to date with current UK employment law and legislation and HR best practiceUsing experience and knowledge to support business strategyOverseeing Health and Safety including risk assessments, first aiders and mental health first aidDrafting employment documentation including contracts of employment and lettersDesigning and delivering HR training such as Inductions, Line Manager Training and Health and SafetyReviewing and revising the Staff Handbook and policies and ensuring they are implemented consistently across the businessRecruitment and selection, including interviewing for positions at senior levelOverseeing and reviewing staff benefitsDealing with complex HR issues such as disciplinary and grievancesWe are looking for an individual with strong experience within a professional HR role, who is flexible, driven with a supportive ethos.The Person: A willingness to travel between all officesExcellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong working relationships with colleaguesA collaborative work style, to work with managers, employees and external contacts to an excellent standardAbility to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workloadAbility to demonstrate strong people management qualitiesA commitment to business, team and personal goalsPrevious HR managerial experience is essential, CIPD would be preferred, with previous experience in a legal role but is not necessaryFor a confidential discussion on this role please contact Rachel Phillips at our TSR Legal head offices.
