Seven Criminal Justice are looking for a Housing Intervention Worker to work with a Charity based in Cardiff. This position is initially permanent but they will consider temporary workers and will involve working 37.5 hours for per week (9am-5pm from Monday-Friday) with the occasional weekend.The role:Camau has been commissioned by Her Majesties Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and is delivered in partnership across Gwent, South Wales and Dyfed Powys by Forward Trust and Kaleidoscope Project. The Camau Service offers support to individuals who have been allocated a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement as part of their Community Supervision Licence or Post Sentence Supervision.Housing resettlement and sustainment support is delivered by the Camau Housing Interventions Workers. The team aims to address barriers to sustaining settled accommodation for those serving community sentences, or custodial sentences less than 6 months, to retain accommodation for those at risk of losing it and to obtain accommodation for those who are experiencing homelessness. The Housing Interventions worker will assess and agree outcome focused action plans in response to referrals received from the Responsible Officer (Probation) providing advocacy, referral support, system navigation and delivering dedicated interventions to build independent living skills. Services will be provided via face to face contact, telephone and virtual support. One to one and group delivery will be required in a variety of settings including but not limited to Probation, Prison and local community venues.The Housing Interventions Worker will support the role of the Partnership Manager and Camau Service Manager to fulfil outcome monitoring and develop new partnerships and referral pathways to facilitate access to temporary accommodation, supported living and private rent availability. The Housing Interventions Worker will be required to respond in a timely manner to referrals and provide clear risk recovery and resilience focused feedback detailing engagement and activities achieved. Feedback will be shared directly with the Responsible Officer within Probation contributing to the overall risk management and recovery support of the service user.Key Responsibilities:
