Job Description

If youhave at least 6 months experience as a Healthcare Support Worker in an acute medical or mental health setting and youre looking for an opportunity to work within NHS Wales, Vetro Nursing would love to hear from you!Cardiff & The Vale UHB has many opportunities for Healthcare Assistants to gain experience and enhance their skills on the general medical, surgical and mental health wards atthe University Hospital of Wales, University Hospital Llandough, St Davids Hospitaland occasional work at the smaller sites, such as Barry Hospital, Rookwood Hospital and Lansdowne Hospital.We can offer evening and weekend shifts on a weekly basis, so whether you are seeking part-time or full-time hours, we can accommodate this.Location:Vardiff and PenarthJob Type: Ad hoc agency shiftsShifts:Weekdays, Evenings, WeekendsPay: £12.44 to £21.34 p/h (PAYE)About the Role:You will need at least 6 months UK experience within an acute medical or mental health setting.Within this role you will be supporting the trained nurses in delivering direct care for patients and have excellent support from a team of Sisters including a dedicated band 6 sister and a unit manager.You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients, which includes observing, monitoring, and keeping a record of patient conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty.Because it is a non-negotiable requirement for you to provide proof of immunisations for TB, Hepatitis B, Varicella and MMR in order to work within the NHS, please do not apply if you are unable to provide proof of immunisations for ALL of these.Benefits:
