Job Description

Senior Leadership position with a large organisation with responsibility for developing the entire supply chain, from cradle to grave. Manage a large team and be a core part in the organisational journey through 2021 and beyond. Through adapting to the new world in which we live they are looking for you to be a key part of their organisational transformation.DescriptionThe Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for the entire industrial supply chain from start to finish and will head up a team through developing and improving cost, reliability and compressing times throughout the supply chain.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategy for the business unit in conjunction with other teams and departments
  • Drive savings and business performance improvements.
  • Drive year on year cost savings across the group.
  • Manage resources effectively and continually assess risks to the global supply chain and action accordingly
  • Create effective reporting and tools to drive efficiencys throughout the business
  • Manage the master production schedule and material requirements to adapt to business needs capacity and demand.
  • Ensuring key metrics are achieved and monitored through audit and improvement plans
  • Take ownership of lean improvement projects.
  • Develop a culture of collaboration between teams.
  • Ensure supply chain excellence across the entire business
    • ProfileThe successful Head of Supply Chain will:
  • Have previous experience within managing end to end supply chain for an organisation with multiple direct reports
  • Have a good understanding of financials and budgetary responsibility
  • Be able to communicate effectively and represent your department at board level
  • Be able to implement and deliver effective Supply Chain strategies.
  • Be a confident leader who can motivate, engage and develop a team.
  • Be analytical, organised and structured with the ability to lead from the front
  • A Degree or HND standard of education would be desirable however we are looking for someone who can lead departments operationally
