Head of Cloud OperationsCardiff or London (Hybrid working)Up to £80,000 basic salary + 10% annual bonus + benefitsCPS Group UK Ltd are working with a Data Management organisation to hire a Head of Cloud Operations to work closely with the Head of Strategy and Partnerships. Your role will be to embed the DevOps culture and implement the operational best practice ensuringthat secure and reliable systems are provided to their customers.You will lead a small team of Cloud Engineers, ensuring all outcomes and metrics are delivered in full and on time. You will be accountable for effective monitoring and incident detection, and management processes. To be successful in the role, you will have:Establish yourself as a leader of an effective DevOps, Cloud and Operations groupEstablished, implemented solution operational management in a common and standard model. Inc: monitoring, uptime reporting, incident management, Out of hours response and coverYou will be a leader and driver with natural authority and establish yourself as a critical member of the Technology Leadership Team. Have a strong influence on stakeholders and deliver measured improvement in the reliability of customer-facing products.This role is responsible for infrastructure capacity management, tooling maintenance, incident management, policy implementation and governance, and third-party tools provider contracts and vendor relationships.The Head of Cloud Operations is a critical senior role advancing the business and technology transformation into cloud and SaaS and strongly influences the approach taken. TECHNICAL SKILLS:Extensive technical experience working within the public cloud - ideally AWSExtensive technical expertise in Operations, DevOps and SRE EnvironmentsFamiliarity or experience with the following: Coding and scripting experience - e.g. Bash, Python, Perl or equivalent. Excellent troubleshooting experience & skills.Configuration Management tools - e.g. Ansible, or equivalents.Security and penetration assessment tools such as - SonarQube, CheckMarx, AppScan, BurpSuite, OWASP ZAP Proxy, WebInspect, Fortify, Veracode, Nessus etc.Use of orchestration tools such as Terraform and Ansible.Hands-on experience of Linux and Windows servers, including support and troubleshooting.Experience working with an enterprise RDBMS such as MySQL, MariaDB, Amazon Arura.Experience with any high-level programming language.Familiarity with application security testing, different types of security vulnerabilities and tools for countermeasureExperience with different deployment methodologies.If you have the relevant skills and experience for this role, please send an updated CV to or call Aimee for more information By applying to this advert you are giving CPS Group (UK) Ltd authority to hold and process your data for this specific role and any other roles we may deem suitable to you over time.
