Job Description

Option for hybrid working - very flexible!.Hedgehog has been providing car insurance for 3 years, and we are now looking to accelerate our business with support from new partners.We are rapidly growing and have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate to join us, you will support the existing claims team through ownership of both administration and claims handling tasks. The role will enable the right candidate to develop their technical,customer and leadership skills.While the office is based in Cardiff, the position offers the flexibility of hybrid working.Your key responsibilities:

  • Carry out assigned tasks including indexing and allocating all incoming claims correspondence
  • Assisting the claims team in the identification and prioritisation of workflow
  • Validating and processing payments for the various claims bordereaus (glass, repair network fees, salvage agents, solicitors fees, etc)
  • Processing recovery payments and liaising with accounts to ensure all claims recoveries have been reconciled on the claims system
  • Completing applications for and filing CRU certificates
  • Handling customer and third party claims from notification to settlement
  • Support the identification of fraud indicators and conduct database enquiries
  • Identify and handle customer complaints in accordance with internal guidelines
  • Carrying out any other tasks deemed appropriate to support the claims team
Your skillset and experience:
  • Educated to degree level
  • Previous claims experience is desired but not a requirement
  • Self-motivated and able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Strong task planning skills
  • Computer literate
