Job Description

Google Cloud Engineer - Contract. Fully Remote (Must be UK based) initially 6 Months Outside IR35 £500-£550 Per day. Unify is proud to be exclusively representing a rapidly expanding Microsoft Partner with an unrivalled reputation in the market.We are currently recruiting for an experienced Google Cloud Platform Engineer in a client facing role. You will help define and implement a Multi-Cloud Centre of Excellence. You must have excellent general programming skills to interpret and implement codeas needed. For this contract role you must also have excellent leadership skills since to help manage a team as they implement and maintain solutions deployed as part of the Centre of Excellence.What you will be required to do.

  • Ensure consistent and policy compliant orchestration of cloud infrastructure including base environments, application stacks, virtual servers, containers.
  • Implement code management and deployment processes.
  • Support automated build pipeline, continuous integration, continuous deployment and test automation frameworks with tools such as Git and Terraform
  • Partner with supporting internal and external infrastructure teams.
  • Build strong trusted technical advisor relationships with key stakeholders and executives
Required experience
  • Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer specialising in Google Cloud Platform.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments using GCP Deployment Manager
  • Experience of Terraform for provisioning services
  • Experience in infrastructure support, design, and implementation of GCP services.
  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of security best practices.
  • Experience in solving complex technical challenges.
  • Must possess strong troubleshooting skills and analytical skills
  • Experience leading a team of Engineers.
  • Experience working in a client facing environment, working closely with technical and non technical stakeholders.
Qualifications required
  • Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
  • Google Associate Cloud Engineer
Desirable experience
  • Experience of Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Experience of other DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, Puppet, Jenkins, Chef.IO, Nexus and Bitbucket.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Iac) deployments and use of Microsoft ARM templates.
  • Experience of using Ansible for configuration management and application deployments
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure/AWS/Oracle Cloud and deployment tools used.
Desirable qualifications.
  • Google Cloud Security Engineer
  • Google Cloud Network Engineer
  • Google Cloud Database Engineer
