Job Description

The market for compound semiconductors is at an inflection point.The superior performance of these materials is resulting in expanding applications, driven by the roll out of 5G and proliferation of connected devices.With 30 years of experience in these advanced materials, unique IP and know-how, an enviable market share, established supply chain relationships and having invested in significant relevant production capacity, IQE is uniquely placed to capitalise on thismarket growth in the coming years.Purpose of the role The Group Sales & Operations Planning Lead will have responsibility for developing and optimising the sales order and planning functions across all IQE sites. Working with the Planning Director they will support capacity modelling activities and tacticalscheduling of IQEs manufacturing sites for optimum efficiency and profitability. They will provide day-to-day supervision of the teams responsible for Sales Order workflow including order entry, planning, delivery commits and order tracking.Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluates Business Unit forecasts and budget packs to prepare proposals for long term capacity planning
  • Works with site GMs to develop mid-term production plans that provide optimum tool utilisation and profitability
  • Maintenance of master data tables that control planning process e.g. qualified raw materials, qualified tools, operational performance metrics
  • Facilitates and manages the monthly site planning meeting, migrating this to a true S&OP system that integrates the production planning and forecasting processes
  • Assists in production risk assessments and mitigation activities
  • Assists in planning and coordinating new tool qualifications to satisfy long term capacity requirements
  • Prepares and communicates production status summaries to Tier 1 accounts and participates in Customer-Supplier meetings as needed.
  • Sets goals, policies and procedures for Sales Order Processing team and oversees daily activities
Qualifications / Essential Skills
  • At least 3 years in a similar role using MES/ERP systems
  • Planning experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of Trade & Export Compliance
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft excel
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Experience in a customer facing role would be an advantage
  • Good coordinator and organizer
  • Team player, able to develop good working relationships with colleagues to ensure a high level of departmental performance
