Job Description

Global Data & Analytics Manager. £60k + Bonus + Benefits Package. Hybrid Role - ideally 3-4 days onsite. Permanent. Cardiff, South Wales. T6/MN/18265. Employee centric, rapidly expanding and phenomenally successful global organisation is seeking to secure a Global Data & Analytics Manager. The Global Data & Analytics Manager will implement the Global Data & Analytics Strategy & Data Architecture, this isa newly formed Data & Analytics function which will allow the role holder to form and grow the Data & Analytics strategy, function and team moving forward. The organisation is open to considering applicants that havent implemented a Data Strategy, but see this as the next step in their evolution. ROLE:

• Will establish the Global Data Strategy for the organization to assist with organisations growth.
• Global Strategy - Define the processes, governance, management & analysis of data to deliver effective data-led business decisions.
• Partner with the Global IT Manager to drive best practice cyber security & data culture across the group.
• Maintain & develop Cloud data environment (Azure) - create effective data pipelines from raw data sources to and data consumption in Power BI.
• Consolidate global data silos - bring this data together at a group level.
• Creation of Power BI dashboards & reports - with a good understanding of DAX & Query language.
• Provide support to Global Analysts - act as the Power BI Subject Matter Expert for the business.
• Leadership - lead a small development team - help grow the development team - educate the team.
• Communicate complex data concepts to senior stakeholders across the business.
• Consolidation of data from existing global applications - pulling output data into a singular data platform.

TECHNICAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 3+ years experience in a Data related position - ideally have some experience of supporting with or implementing a Data strategy.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement & management experience - confidence to build relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Good understanding of - Modern data storage & platform concepts such as - Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Azure Databricks & Azure Data Factory.
• Power BI skillset - good knowledge of DAX & query).
• Deployed & maintained Power BI reporting suites in a commercial setting.
• ETL understanding of ETL concepts (in Azure).
• Leveraging front-end Power BI transformation with backend data modelling.
• SQL & core components of SQL Server - stored procedures, views & tables etc.
• Good knowledge of APIs, and tapping into web resources - REST, SOAP etc.
• Self-starter - take ownership of all facets of a data journey - from raw data source to finalised report.
• Proactive & outgoing approach.
• Collaborative - championing good data practice & the usage of Power BI.
• Collaborative approach to projects & teamwork.
• Knowledge sharing - Supportive demeanour & approach.

• Excellent communication skills - ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

DESIRABLE:

• Worked with Python, R or a similar coding language, for analysis.
• Power Apps & Power Automate.
• MS Dynamics 365.
• SharePoint as a data source.
• Qualification in a - Statistics, Data Science or Programming discipline.
