Job Description

Great opportunity for a commercially focused accoutant to join this ambitious fast growth organisation. This is a key role on the senior management team and your input highly valued in a key area of the operations.Role Purpose:This is a key role working directly to the Head of Finance and Business Support to support the implementation of the companys ambitious growth plans.The role will have responsibilities that ensure financial and regulatory adherence of a number of key contracts across a group structure employing over 250 people.Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the Group budgets and forecasts including performing variance analysis and scenario modelling
  • Ensure all data processed by admin team is correct to ensure cash drawn down is accurate
  • Preparation of periodic reports to measure and drive improvements to operational performance
  • Provide feedback on systems and processes to assist in minimising time spent by operational teams on administrative tasks
  • Commission, develop and validate ad hoc Reports as required
  • Develop expert detailed knowledge of funding guidance and changes to ensure income is maximized
  • Use this knowledge to drive business strategy to maximise revenue from each contract
  • Assist with forecasting, analysing and tenderingfor new contracting opportunities
  • Taking responsibility for ensuring compliance with any bespoke contracts entered into with employers
  • Direct line manager responsibility for one or more back office support teams
  • Appraisal of new business opportunities
  • Cost/Benefit analysis
Skills & Experience required:
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience either progressing within an accountancy firm or in industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent problem solving ability
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to deliver financial models and scenario based reports
  • Experience of business partnering and proven ability to interact effectively with a wide range of personnel
  • Tenacity to drive through a task and to use initiative without too much supervision
  • Self-motivated to work towards and achieve deadlines
  • Creativity to prepare scope of reports to be developed
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to convey complex information, clearly and concisely using a range of methods
