You will provide in depth analysis across a number of business units data, whilst working alongside colleagues on projects that will greatly benefit the efficiency of the business.We are a second-line team, and are responsible for setting the risk management framework, and providing oversight and challenge on the control environment for fraud prevention, anti-money laundering/terrorist financing, financial sanctions and bribery &corruption, including the effectiveness of the financial crime defence systemsWe are a high performing team. Youll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, and colleagues through regular contact and virtualinteraction.What would your day look like

  • Supporting the maintenance and development of the Financial Crime systems roadmap through engagement with Business Units and Management to ensure the Financial Crime strategy is delivered in an effective manner
  • Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of Financial Crime systems MI, automating where possible
  • Production of Financial Crime systems MI to agreed standards and timescales
  • Support of the preparation of the Financial Crime Regulatory returns, including returns to the FCA and SARB, in a timely manner, working with relevant areas in the business to source the data
  • Supporting the ongoing assessments and optimisations of the financial systems, including review of systems Financial Crime controls rulesets to improve operational efficiencies and risk mitigation effectiveness
  • Identification and analysis of Financial Crime methodologies and trends through data analytics, recommending appropriate controls to mitigate risks identified
  • Support the design, development and implementation of Financial Crime risk models and scorecards, validated to appropriate standards
  • Supporting relevant projects, including projects to enhance financial crime controls via systems.

  • You should be numerate, analytical & logical
  • You should have strong Excel (Pivot Tables, V Lookups), Word and PowerPoint skills and have a high level of PC literacy
  • You should have experience of designing & producing reports and Management Information (MI) within agreed deadlines
  • You should have strong communications skills, both written and verbal, tailoring towards audience, and be adept at presenting complex technical problems and solutions
  • You should have an understanding of Financial Crime concepts
  • It is desirable that you have experience of rules and models development and optimization, as part of development and enhancement of monitoring/screening systems and strategies
  • It is desirable that you have project support experience
  • It is desirable that you have Tableau experience desirable
