Job Description

Our client supplies construction equipment to national and local contractors by delivering excellent customer service and hiring and training engineers with industry experience and knowledge. They invest in the company and its people to ensure they offerthe latest equipment and tools for diagnosing and resolving faults and breakdowns. The company now has opportunities for suitably qualified Field Service Engineers in Cardiff and Newbury. As a Field Service Engineer you will help provide expert on-site service support to customers throughout the country to a wide variety of construction and contractor plant, tools, and equipment. Duties

  • Visit customer sites to carry out maintenance and repairs to a variety of plant and equipment
  • Conduct planned, reactionary & preventative maintenance (in the field) to a variety of plant and equipment
  • Diagnose and rectify faults accurately and cost effectively
  • Keep accurate records of work
  • Maintain a professional appearance and maintain the equipment issued including mobile service vehicles
Qualifications and experience
  • Level 3 Construction Plant maintenance or associated vocational qualification or experience
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge and experience to diagnose and rectify faults to Contractors Plant, tools, and equipment
  • A valid current driving licence
  • CSCS card or skills accreditation scheme
Additional requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Trustworthy and diligent with comprehensive technical knowledge
  • Have the ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
Benefits:
  • Salary: £26k - £35k dependent on qualifications and experience
  • 22 days holiday plus Public Holidays, then additional day for every year after 2 years of service to a maximum of 25 days
