Overview of the role Orchard is a leading integrated agency based in central Cardiff providing Strategic thinking, Creative solutions and Commercial impact. We help brands connect with their audiences through insightful strategies, bold ideas, and immersive experiences. We areat an exciting point in our expansion plans for the Orchard Activations team and are searching for hot talent to further contribute to our success. This is an exciting time for our Activations Team and working as a 3D Designer for Orchard will give you the opportunity to get involved in some great projects.Please note this role will involve remote working, moving to a 2-day office 3 day home working pattern.About the roleAs 3Ddesigner you will work both independently and collaboratively, supporting the Exhibitions & Activations Team and ensuring that our creative work is to the highest standard.Specific duties and responsibilities:

• Able to think and design in a 3D environment
• Ability to interpret clients brief and requirements into a 3D design
• Create 3D visuals, renders and walkthroughs
• Create construction drawings and plans suitable for downstream construction
• Create 2D print ready artwork for activation requirements
• Supervise print and construction
• Ability to understand and design within technical parameters
• Development of a strategic approach to projects.
• Oversee the creative quality of all work produced internally and sent to client
• Create concepts and communications that deliver and rationalise the clients brief.
• Direct and manage medium sized projects to keep them on-concept and on-brand and deliver from start to finish.
• Work closely with Client Services or directly with clients, as required.
• Support senior managers, project manager, & account handler
• Ability to complete projects from across the design spectrum from brief through to close

Required experience:

• High level experience 3-5 years within a creative or exhibition agency
• An impressive portfolio demonstrating a proven track record of working with 3D design
• Complete confidence in the Sketchup, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative suite
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• A mindset that is organised and detail oriented
• Familiarity with all phases of the design process and ability to work with a team through execution of all phases (strategy, conceptualisation, development, budgeting, creating proposals, client approvals, execution; and close-out)
• Excellence in client communication and customer service
• A well-crafted portfolio that demonstrates your love of design, and how strategy fuels design to meet the brief
