Job Description

Enterprise Data ArchitectRemote working - Inside IR35Our client, who are a leading financial services organisation require an experience Enterprise Data Architect to join on an initial 3 month contract. The Enterprise Data Architect is a key role within the team and is critical in enabling the organisationto increase focus on becoming a data-driven organisation. The Enterprise Data Architecture will lead the strategy that generates future state data architecture for the project.The Enterprise Data Architect will manage the offshore data architecture resources that will assist in delivering key designs for the programme.This role involves working closely with clients, data services peers, project managers, key internal & external stakeholders, including application developers and solution architects, to understand and refine requirements to complex issues that can be communicatedto all stakeholders effectively.Role requirements:

  • Self-starter and self-managed who can work with minimal direction to achieve the desired outcome
  • Experienced across multiple areas of data technologies and wider data topics
  • Experienced in managing data teams with a focus on design and delivery
  • Experienced in setting data strategy
  • Experienced in creating strategic data roadmaps
  • Experience of Data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical)
  • SDLC knowledge
  • Agile development knowledge
  • Experience working in Finance sector
  • Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, DAMA, SABSA)
  • Understanding of SOA, APIs and underlying architectures (monolithic vs microservices)
  • Understanding of Agile, Lean, DevOps and DataOps
  • Enterprise architecture experience
  • Data Governance experience
  • Understanding of data lake paradigm and implementation
  • ETL & ELT processes experience
  • Cloud-based design methods
  • Multi-platform experience
Desirable:
  • Enterprise Service Bus architectures
  • Knowledge in RDBMS, NoSQL and Graph databases
  • MDM and DQS
  • BigData technologies experience is desirable
  • DWaaS platform experience is desirable
