Job Description

Opportunity for an electronics design engineer to play a key role in developing the next generation of products for an established business who were the original technology pioneers in their industry.You will work as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team contributing to the development of the products from an electronics perspective. The role offers the potential for progression into a more senior role in the future.Electronics design engineer responsibilities will include:

  • Playing a key role in the design and development process to ensure the availability of market-relevant products for the future
  • Ensuring product design is suitable for efficient manufacturing/service whilst ensuring product quality and reliability
  • Developing plans to deliver customer-specific projects
  • Managing product technical literature and design change requests
  • Overseeing design criticality for robustness and compliance in regulated environments
  • Championing initiatives that will reduce the costs of next-generation products, enhance quality and improve reliability
    • To apply for the electronics design engineer, you will need:
  • A degree-level qualification in electronics engineering or another relevant qualification
  • Enthusiasm for emerging technologies
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment such as medical devices, automotive, electronics, telecoms, measurement equipment, instrumentation or controls
  • Microcontroller experience and in particular expertise around the design and application of ARM processors
  • Working knowledge of analogue/digital electronics including serial communication interfaces / DC power supplies
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of PCBs
