Job Description

Cymru Coordinator - Coordinator for Early Years Reading Programs in Wales. Join a dynamic and impactful team working to promote reading for children across Wales. Their work reaches millions ofchildren across the UK, and they are committed to nurturing their reading journey from the very beginning.Job Title: Cymru CoordinatorSalary: £28000/annumFTC until March 2024Location: Cardiff Bay (Hybrid)Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Coordinator for Early Years Reading Programs in Wales, you will play a vital role in ensuring their programs are delivered effectively and make a lasting impact. Your responsibilities will include:Programme Coordination

  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure the seamless delivery of our programs in Wales.
  • Organise and oversee events, conferences, and promotional activities.
  • Support the monitoring and evaluation of their initiatives, including data collection and analysis.
  • Provide essential administrative support for the office, including budget management.
Relationship Management and Communications
  • Cultivate strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to facilitate program delivery.
  • Be the first point of contact for enquiries and maintain open communication channels.
  • Contribute to awareness-raising efforts through various communication channels.
  • Develop high-quality communications materials tailored to the Welsh context, including Welsh language requirements.
Project Development
  • Assist in the development of new projects and activities in Wales.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and support resource development.
RequirementsWe are looking for someone with:Knowledge
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years, Schools, or Publishing/Reading sector in Wales.
  • Awareness of the impact of reading and literacy on social change.
  • Knowledge of childrens and young peoples literature.
Experience
  • Prior experience in administration or coordination.
  • Coordinating events and managing external communications.
  • Experience working with children, young people, or families.
Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Numeracy skills for financial record-keeping and data management.
  • Fluency in the Welsh language (desirable).
