Job Description

IPA/IDVAVenn Group’s Social Housing Recruitment Team are currently recruiting for an IPA/IDVA for a highly reputable domestic violence organisation based in Cardiff to begin permanent employment.Location: CardiffContract Type: PermanentWorking days: 37.5 hours rolling rotaHourly Rate: £20,500 - £22,000DOEDay-to-Day Duties:

  • Provide support to domestic violence victims
  • Manage own caseload of service users including creating and maintaining support plans
  • Conduct risk and needs assessments
  • Advocate for the service users and signpost onto 3rd party agencies in relation to their recovery
  • Provide information in relation to legal options, housing, health, finance and recovery
  • Working directly with all key agency partners to address the safety of high-risk victims and ensuring that their safety plans are coordinated particularly through the MASH and MARAC
  • Understand multi-agency partnership structures and work within a multi-agency setting which will include participation at the MARAC
  • Help design a plan to protect victims and any children
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and databases and contribute to monitoring information for the service
  • Support colleagues and partner agencies, through raising awareness and institutional advocacy, in order to provide the best possible service for service users
  • Essential Skills:
  • A current enhanced DBS issued within the past 12 months
  • Experience in supporting victims of domestic violence
  • Ability to conduct risk & needs assessments and create support plans
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Good IT and written skills
  • Local to the area
  • Housing Qualification/NVQ
