Job Description

An award winning law firm is currently looking to hire an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join the practice.The Opportunity:You will be joining an established organisation to contribute to the growth and repuation of the Dispute Resolution Department. The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Manage your own caseload and to provide a profitable contribution to the work of the Dispute Resolution department and organisation.
  • Ensure that all legal issues of a case are identified at the outset and the client receives regular reports on those issues.
  • To ensure that clients are advised of the most appropriate method of funding their case, including public funding, conditional fees or on a private basis
  • To strengthen existing client relationships and introduce new clients to the individual Departments and firm.
  • Liaise with the Head of Department and other Partners, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.
  • To ensure that the file review procedure is complied with.
  • To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors and the SRA Standards and Regulations.
Whats needed for me to be considered
  • Qualified Solicitor (New qualfied to 10 years PQE)
  • Able to work on publicly funded caseload
  • Interested in or would like to develop an expertise in; Public Law, Claims against Public Authorities or Inquests.
  • Using a time recording, document management and case managemnt systems
  • Motivation for and a commitment to working in a mixed legal aid/private practice.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with not only the other personnel within the firm
