Job Description

DieticianBand 6 /7Permanent Role Overall Objective:

  • To manage a specialist case load of service users with complex nutritional needs, using evidence based and person centred principles, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment.
  • To manage all service resources effectively.
  • To take responsibility in planning and developing a dietetic service with a range of adults with both psychiatric and physical needs.
    • Note from Client:
  • We are looking to recruit a Band 7 registered dietitian to provide a dietetic service St Peters Hospital, Newport and a smaller caseload at our Heatherwood site.
  • The role will include working with complex individuals with degenerative neuropsychological conditions such as dementia, and acquired brain injury as well as individuals with mental health needs and chaotic eating patterns.
  • Experience of these areas along with nutritional support and weight management are essential.
  • The post holder would also be expected to support catering and lead on nutritional education and training
  • The post holder will be supported through regular supervision and training opportunities are available.
