Location: Cardiff - agile working from home or in the officeHours of Work: 21 hours per weekContract: Fixed term - 12 monthsSalary Scale: £32,878 pro rataAnnual Leave: 25 days per annum pro rataAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Young Wales team, to develop and implement the Children in Wales policy and public education work. The successful candidate will enable children and young people to participate effectively and have their viewsheard.Main purpose of role:The Development Officer -Participation will be responsible for leading on projects that will support the development of and implementation of Children in Wales policy and public education work, including Cymru Ifanc - Young Wales, through direct work witha diverse range of children and young people and the practitioners and the organisations that support them, namely: To provide advice, guidance and training to organisations and partners, so they are able to effectively embed a childrens rights and participationapproach. To inform and enable children and young people to participate effectively and have their views heard by Ministers and policy makers through Young Wales and other participation activity, in order to inform policy and practice development whilst empoweringchildren and young people. Support the implementation of Article 12 of the UNCRC by gathering the voice of the child to inform policy development.
