My Client are one of the UKs leading Independent Financial Advice organisations and you will have the security of being an integral part of an established firm.They currently have a new opportunity due to retirement for a Development Manager to cover the Southwest region and in return a competitive salary and benefit package can be offered.Job PurposeTo assist in the design, implementation, delivery and recording of individual and group training activity in support of the company objectives and effective conduct of our business. To incorporate the training requirements of both advisory and non-advisoryfunctions.To work with Senior Managers and advisers with established track records, providing development, coaching and training support to enable them to achieve their highest potential, in terms of sales skills, supervision skills and technical knowledge.To provide assistance to the Senior Managers in fulfilling the requirements of the company Training & Competency, in order to ensure the initial and ongoing competence of financial advisers within the business. Completion of T&C activity remains the responsibilityof the Senior Manager.To support new entrants to the company in achieving competency (CAS sign-off for advisers) and minimising the time taken for new entrants to understand and be able to follow company process and standards and be productive in their respective roles.Assist in monitoring adherence to company policies and processes and assessing the knowledge and skills of the workforce and identifying risks and training needs.Essential skills, experience and qualificationsDiploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)Experience of working in a regulated Financial Services environment.Experience of coaching individuals and providing feedbackExperience of providing skills-based coachingA proven track-record of achieving sales targetsAbility to demonstrate required level of technical knowledge and application of qualifications in the IFA environmentDetailed understanding of retail finance including protection products, investments, pension products and tax planning solutionsA comprehensive working knowledge of the FCAs Principles for Businesses and Conduct of Business rulesAdvantageousSupervision in a Regulated Environment (J07) or equivalentUnderstanding of the corporate advice market and associated advice areas, including Auto Enrolment, workplace pensions, employee benefits and business protection;Good understanding of the T&C regime within a principles-based regulation model and focus on the appropriate customer outcomes;Working knowledge of the implications of the Retail Distribution Review with particular reference to the area of adviser qualifications and Continuing Professional Development
