A major Financial Service corporate in Cardiff is expanding its Data Analytics capabilities and needs to recruit a Senior Data Analyst with strong analytical & visualisation skills, or an experienced Tableau Data Analytics Manager, to help design and build their Tableau infrastructure, ensuring the business gets the best of the analytics technology.Working with senior stakeholders, the analytics team and Data Analysts, the Data Analytics Manager will need previous experience working within Financial Services or Finance functions, utilising Tableau as their Analytics & visualisation tool of choice.With the ability to understand how to present data visualisations in the most appropriate way to deliver insightful analysis, the Data Analytics Manager must enjoy excellent Tableau desktop skills and experience of Tableau server administration. This role is a hands-on development role and the candidate must be comfortable in helping to drive and deliver organisational roll out of Tableau (or other BI tools).Responsibilities Include:Helping to design and build out what ‘Good’ Tableau infrastructure should be, documenting and driving the implementation roll outBuilding and supporting data governance within Tableau including permission modelsUnderstanding the reporting requirements specified by the FP&A and Business Analytics team. Documenting requirements where appropriate and implementing projectsStakeholder communication and priority managementDriving Tableau dashboard development and maintaining Tableau servers.Driving growth and improvements of data and new techniques through the use of analytics.Providing support and expertise across the team, supporting the internal training of TableauOnce the BI function is firmly established, leading on BI BAU.Championing BI across the business. Skills & Experience:Strong experience with Tableau and common BI and Reporting tools such as BusinessObjectsProficient data analytical skills Experience within Financial Services or financial management information reporting functions Demonstrable data modelling, analysis and development skillsBusiness Analysis & Requirements gathering.Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to efficiently structure and summarise information with great attention to detailSelf-disciplined and proactive in managing own workload, i.e. getting clarity on priorities, managing expectations, dealing with interruptions and obstaclesExperience of working as part of a virtual team and able to work well both as a team member and autonomouslyEnjoys building effective relationships within and across IT & business teams.Useful Knowledge or Skills Include:Experience or exposure of the following technologies is desirable:Power BI, BirstMicrosoft SQL Server or similar databasesWherescape, Alteryx or similar ETL toolsGood Data Governance Interest Candidates Can expect initial feedback on their applications within 72 hours, so apply now !
