Youll provide expert advice and recommendations that helps to ensure architectural governance, execution of security strategy and implementation throughout the engineering lifecycle. In the constantly evolving world of cyber security, you will help to ensure that work programmes are prioritised in keeping with government goals and utilise new technologies, methodologies, approaches and systems. You will develop a detailed understanding of government strategic goals for the GB energy system and work to ensure that these aspirations are fulfilled through cyber enablement. Youll influence key engineering projects so that they are in keeping with architectural alignment and follow OES (Operators of Essential Services) security strategy and implementation protocols.We expect that you will already have experience of engaging, advising and influencing at all levels and that you have a good knowledge of the oil, gas, and electricity industries. You should be a highly effective communicator (in writing and in person) who can offer expert knowledge in security issues and develop solutions to unprecedented issues or problems. Youll be professional certified in at least one of the following (or equivalent): CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 lead implementer and be able to achieve and maintain SC (Security Check) clearance.Ofgem is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
