Building on our strengths, and working closely with wider partners, we are transforming our services to deliver a world-class service for the prevention, management and control of health protection threats.To complement our existing teams, Public Health Wales is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic Public Health Specialist to the post of Consultant Epidemiologist, in the Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre (CDSC, Health Protection Division). This post is available at 1.0 WTE on a permanent basis.The post holder will provide the strategic leadership and technical input for surveillance, field epidemiology, research and training to the subject group areas within the Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre of Public Health Wales. In addition, and by agreement with the lead Consultant Epidemiologist, the post holder will support defined portfolio areas working on an all Wales basis.
