This includes identifying new opportunities, developing new client relationships, creating business proposals. You take the lead on managingclient relationships and ensure that the management team are kept informed of market opportunities and business development.Specifically, the role will be responsible for sourcing high quality mixed plastics for our Plastic Recycling Facilities.The role holder will be primarily tasked with developing opportunities and business in the South of the UK.Why its an opportunity not to be wasted.

  • Responsible for new Business Development / Sales. In line with commercial strategy, identify divisions own leads, develop and bring in new customers. Work closely with PRF operational teams to understand and identify commercially viable feedstock.
  • To submit monthly commercial / pricing / gravimetric report to Head of PRFs
  • To coordinate on-site incoming stocks and communicate to manager.
  • To coordinate PRF weekly input forecast volumes and communicate to manager.
  • To provide customer base monthly management data to meet obligations under MRF code of practise. Mange client with regard to quality of inputs measured against commercial terms and make adjustment to accounts where necessary.
  • To manage Quality sampling and data management, provide support where necessary to divisions other super MRFs. Identify and pass on Commercial opportunities outside remit to other team members e.g. Polymers or MRFs
  • To improve Profitability, assisted by finance support, analyse existing and potential customer profitability and business contribution, manage net payloads on haulage contracts.
  • To manage administrative IT support function. Roll-out any Divisional IT improvements such as Customer Zone. Ensure all key personnel are fully informed of developments.
RequirementsHeres what we require:
  • Hands on experience within Waste management sector
  • MRF & Transfer station operational experience
  • Developing/managing and implementing new business pipelines
  • Achieving clearly defined service level agreements and KPIs including customer service and financial delivery
  • Project Management
  • Numeracy and ability to understand numerical data
  • Successful sales and marketing techniques
  • Contractual and tendering protocol
  • Knowledge and understanding of current and proposed environmental legislation
  • Knowledge of Schedule 9a (MRF code of Practice) and how this works in detail including quarterly reporting to EA and monthly reporting to client base.
