Job Description

In this role, you get to work as a Clinical Psychologist in an inpatient low secure service that maintained its 3Q Status under its latest NHS Wales (QAIS) review at the only hospital in the region to have met 154 out of 154 standards.Are you an experienced HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist or Forensic Psychologist who wants to work with a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team in a large site that cares for forensic patients with a range of mental health needsPerhaps you are not receiving high-quality supervision, supportive peer network, and training/CPD opportunities in your current roleOr you may want the opportunity to innovate and contribute to service developmentIf you have answered yes to any of these questions, then this is worth exploring.Operia is representing a world-renowned and the UKs leading independent provider of mental health care services to search for and headhunt a Registered Clinical Psychologist to support them in their delivery of recovery-orientated specialist treatment in a low secure unit for adult males and females who require a medium-term placement.In this role, you will...

  • Undertake assessments to formulate an effective therapy programme to help determine the treatment needs of individual service users.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Lead and co-ordinate colleagues, providing psychotherapeutic advice and guidance.
  • Be an active member of the experienced MDT.
  • The successful candidate will be creative and compassionate. You will have an enthusiasm for improving the quality of life of our service users both whilst they are in care and as they progress to less restrictive environments.
