Job Description

Claims HandlerDo you have previous Claims Handler Experience Are you wanting to join a team who are supportive and passionate about their customers and staff Then please apply below.What youll be doingThis is an excellent opportunity for a Claims Handler join a personable and supportive insurance company based in the city centre of Cardiff. You will work within a team of Claims Handlers and deal directly with policy holders to resolve their claim, as wellas liaising with other teams within the business. You will also:

  • Assess indemnity, liability and quantum on motor claims
  • Negotiate settlements of claims
  • Assist in persuading claimants to accept the offer to intervene and deal with claims for bodily injury
  • Ensure that all procedures and systems are followed to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Keep an eye out for any potential fraud using knowledge and tools available
  • Ensure excellent customer service to all customers and claims suppliers
  • Regularly provide input and feedback on processes and systems within the team to support improvements
What youll bring to the teamAs a driven Claims Handler, you will be:
  • Experienced within a motor claims environment
  • Organised, and able to manage own workload and multitask
  • Able to interpret data and identify trends from this
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Empathetic and understanding about emotions and situations.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
