Acorn by Synergie is delighted to once again partner with The Football Association of Wales as they look to appoint a new Chief Commercial and Engagement Officer. This is a vital role within their Senior Management Team. This role will be based from theirHeadquarters at The Vale Hotel, Hensol just on the outskirts of Cardiff.This role reports to Noel Mooney, CEO of The FAW and presents a real opportunity to drive transformational change through the delivery of revenue growth and engagement. This role is responsible for the following key areas:* Commercial* Marketing* Brand* Content and Engagement* Ticketing Areas of accountability:* Drive commercial revenues in line with FAW business plan/budgets with focus on reaching our potential in partnerships, sponsorships, TV rights (non-UEFA/FIFA), ticketing and hospitality, merchandising and licensing and monetising of FAW services & assets* Oversee and deliver increased revenue generation and audience engagement, as well as manage departmental performance in line with the FAW strategy, budgets and forecasts.* Develop & deliver an e-commerce strategy to significantly increase online revenues and fan engagement. * Ensure the ticketing department reaches the FAWs sales potential while maintaining first class customer service and experience. * Increase reach, retention & revenues of the FAW, Cymru and our competitions* Use insights & data to make informed, strategic commercial and marketing business decisions. * Develop strong partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders who wish to support the growth of Welsh football* Ensure the FAWs national facilities are utilised to gain the maximum commercial value. * Develop and deliver the FAW digital strategy to ensure we deliver an on-brand experience at every digital touchpointLeadership:* Position FAW as thought leader in Wales and global football* Manage departmental performance in line with the FAW strategy, budgets and forecasts.* Motivate, coach, mentor and develop managers and staff within the Commercial and Engagement teams. * Ensure people management processes are carried out effectively within the departments of responsibility, including giving effective feedback through performance management processesQualifications:* Educated to degree level or equivalentKnowledge/Skills/Behaviours:* Strategic thought leadership within a business context* Proven ability to plan, implement and analyse performance results against objectives and KPIs* Leading and influence others to get the best out of individuals and multi-disciplinary teams* Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills* Ability to deliver innovative strategic and creative solutions that help transform business performance* Deep understanding of the role of data in decision-making, digital marketing and customer service.* Knowledge of the role of different technologies used to drive b2b and b2c engagement and revenue.* Knowledge of UEFA/FIFA business practises (desirable)For more information please review the candidate pack on the jobs page of our websiteAcorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
