Role: Business Support OfficerSalary: £30,000 pro-rata Contract: 10 months Location: Cardiff (hybrid)Hours: 22.5 hours per weekJOB SUMMARYThe main purpose of the role is to provide business support to Weightlifting Wales.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Be the lead officer to develop Weightlifting Wales Governance and Self-Assessment mandates.* Be the lead Equality and data protection officer for Weightlifting Wales* Work independently developing and delivering policies and procedures to improve governance.* Liaise with Sports Wales on Governance and Self-Assessment.* Liaise with Board of directors, Governance and finance working groups.* Lead on risk management, business continuity and Finance.* Provide administrative and business support to the Weightlifting Wales.* Provide logistical support such as transport and hotel bookings.* To assist with social networking media associated with Weightlifting Wales.* To assist with the marketing and public relations work associated Weightlifting Wales.* To be responsible for the administration of membership.* To be responsible for the administration of competition entry.* To be responsible for updating the Weightlifting Wales website.* Coordinating coach education courses.* Organise, attend, and take minutes at board meetings and the AGM. * Regularly Backup Electronic Data held on WWF Business Support PC and Laptop.THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:ESSENTIAL* Good level of IT.* Ability to work independently using own initiative and as part of a team.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Excellent organisation skills.* Significant experience in providing social media support.* Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines.DESIRABLE* Experience in marketing/PR.* Experience in the set up and use of social networking media.* Experience of working/interest/participation in a high-performance sport environment.
