Job Description

Location:Barnardos, 87a Grand Avenue, Cardiff CF5 4LE (currently working from home).Barnardos Cymru and South West BusinessDevelopmentTeam contributes to growth in Childrens Services (CS) through the identification of opportunities, development and submission of proposals. We are seeking aBusinessDevelopmentExecutive who can providesupporttotheBusinessDevelopmentTeam.This is a 12 month Maternity Cover post where the successful candidate will work with a range of colleagues to achieve high quality bids and tenders; working to deadlines; and thriving within a time-critical context. The place of work is the Barnardos officein Ely, Cardiff, but the Business Development Team is currently working from home due to the pandemic.KeyResponsibilities:To act ascoordinatorwithin theBusinessDevelopmentUnit on the following key functions:

  • Monitor procurement portals/funders to identify and disseminate business opportunities
  • Manage bid/tender information, market intelligence and pipeline development
  • Provide projectsupport fortendersand grantapplications,and the implementationand roll out of successful bids.

  • Excellentverbal and writtencommunicationskills, able toproof read and correct grammatical errors
  • Theabilityto analyse data andinformationto informbusinessdecisions
  • Theabilityto manage and maintain accurate records in line withbusinessprocesses
  • Theabilityto meet deadlines, standards,regulationand policyrequirements
  • High level of organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • High level of IT skills inword-processingand Excel
