Job Description

Intelligent Resource Recruitment is working in partnership with a major Client in the UK. We are currently recruiting for Business Analyst - NHS to be Cardiff based outJob Title= Business Analyst - NHSLocation = CardiffDuration= 6 monthsDuties will include:

  • Analyse and evaluate business processes; identifying alternative solutions including assessment of process feasibility and articulation of process requirements.
  • Analyse stakeholder objectives, investigate business requirements and identify potential benefits and options available for consideration.
  • Handle complex analysis activities in often contentious situations to ensure common understanding of difficult and sometimes unpalatable ideas.
  • Modelling requirements for IT systems to specify the functions that the system will provide and the data to be stored within the system. Techniques will include user-stories, use-cases and class models.
  • Setting-up a BA community within the programme, mentoring local PMs and driving in industry best practices for Business Analysis.
  • Present complex data in various forms to suit the audience, using graphical and other techniques to large groups to portray the required information, offering supporting narrative as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders organisational, professional, customer and supplier representatives.
  • Plan business analysis activities, across all phases of projects including identification, assessment and management of risks and production of realistic plans and contribution towards lessons learned.
  • Establish or maintain a data structure and its associated components by applying data analysis and modelling techniques using a detailed understanding of business processes.
  • Typically taking a lead analyst role on an assignment, the post holder will be required to make judgements where precedent may not exist and may have to represent customer, business and delivery positions.
Qualifications
  • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent qualification / experience)
Skills And Experience
  • Experience of working of the NHS and clinical knowledge would be advantageous, however practical experience and knowledge of the following would be particularly advantageous: -
  • Strong leadership and communications skills
  • Working with software vendors and providers.
  • As-is business process mapping
  • Requirements elicitation
  • Requirements modelling (use-cases and data)
  • Working in an agile environment
  • Creating user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of business processes to advise database designers and other application development team members on the details of data structures and associated components.
