Job Description

Struggling to find a DevOps role where you can work with cutting edge tech in a cloud first environment We are helping our client based in Cardiff to scale their technical team with a Senior DevOps Engineer who wants to work within a collaborative teamand can add value across multiple workstreams within the business.About the company..

About you
  • AWS is essential for this role so you will be proficient in a range of services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Serverless..
  • You have an inquisitive nature and want to constantly develop your skills.
  • You believe the best way to really understand technical capabilities is to break things to build them back up, or you just like designing your own solutions.
About the role on a day to day basis:
  • Design and deploy business-wide dynamically scalable, highly available, fault tolerant, secure and reliable applications on AWS full-stack - account structure, serverless, networks, security, deployment orchestration and automation
  • Proactive maintain IT systems and servers through monitoring, alerting, and housekeeping.
  • Building infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines to enable the software engineers to continuously deliver features. This is not in place currently, so the role is likely to include recommending the most appropriate tooling for this (GoCD, Jenkins, etc).
  • Build and configure code and CI pipelines. You will containerise and deploy existing and new applications
  • Manage all data security practices including, network security and access control.
  • Plan for management of cloud-based servers for machine learning (model development, training and inference). This will require very close collaboration with the AI team, to understand their specific requirements, build sufficient capacity and make sensibletrade-offs in compute cost vs execution times.
