Job Description

Test Automation Engineer / £45k - £55k / 4 days Remote - 1 day in the office A household name based in Cardiff are looking for 2 Test Automation Engineers to join their IT team.Responsibilities:

  • Creation and maintenance of Automated tests and frameworks for our products architecture, i.e. integration tests, E2E tests, smoke test etc.
  • Assisting the development of product code via pair development and/or reviews
  • Setting up the infrastructure to run tests and maintain test environments
  • When required, executing some manual test cases
  • Advise on Quality Strategy best practices and document recommendations where appropriate
  • Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed, i.e., perform manual static testing.
  • Work with the Development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other Development test objects.
  • Work with product managers to refine work requirements, acceptance criteria and ensure quality is baked in at all stages of the development lifecycle.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient with JavaScript
  • Previous experience working in a Test Automation or equivalent role
  • 1+ year experience with front-end test tools such as Selenium or Cypress (we use Cypress)
  • Experience with Javascript testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, Chai etc.
  • Experience with Node
  • Experience working in an Agile team
  • Experience with automated testing techniques and tools
  • Familiarity with build pipelines and test integration
  • Testing mobile / React Native applications
