My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for an Assistant Hydrogeologist to join an expanding Water Environment Team based in Cardiff.It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Environmental Modelling, Water Quality or Environmental Science and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy as a Hydrogeologistor Geologist. You are expected to have a keen interest in hydrogeology, water quality and hydrology.Candidates are required to have a strong background in numeracy (preferably a strong A level or GCSE in Mathematics or Science) and a passion for hydrogeology, ground water, flood risk, modelling, mathematics and/or coding.You will join a supportive team based in the heart of Cardiff and receive training by skilled team members.As an Assistant Hydrogeologist you will also be trained complete the following;-Hydrogeological Impact Assessments.-Water Quality Analysis.-Water Framework Directive Assessments.-EIA.-GIS Mapping.-Hydrogeological Modelling using Aquifer and Modflow.Candidates will also be required to assist with Drainage Strategies and SAB Applications.This role offers a competitive salary, flexible working, benefits package including generous annual leave, company benefits and career progression and training.
