Assistant Branch Manager - Building Materials Job Title: Assistant Branch Manager - Building MaterialsIndustry Sector: Branch Manager, Building Materials, Wall Ties, Fixings, Bricks, Insulation, Plastering, Cavity Trays, KBB, Drainage, Landscaping, Plumbing, Doors, Machinery, Tools, Main Contractors, Subcontractors, Local AuthoritiesLocation: Radyr or surrounding areasRemuneration: £26,000 + profit share bonusBenefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package The role of the Assistant Branch Manager - Building Materials will involve:

  • Assistant branch manager position, supporting with the management of a branch selling a range of building products into the construction industry such as: building materials, drainage, landscaping, KBB, roofing, plumbing, doors, machinery and tools
  • Supporting with all aspects of the branch including sales, customer service, health & safety, and HR
  • Ensuring H&S practices are adhered to by all employees
  • Developing strong relationships with clients via telephone, email and meeting
  • Developing, implementing, and delivering strategies to improve the branch performance
  • Ensuring sales and profit/loss targets are met by the branch
  • Providing training, development and motivation to all branch personnel
  • Network to improve the branch presence and reputation
  • Help to locate areas that need improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities
The ideal applicant will be Assistant Branch Manager - Building Materials with:
  • Must have experience within the construction industry with good knowledge of various building materials
  • Ideally will have some man management skills with the ability to lead and motivate
  • Proactive and positive individual
  • Commercially aware
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be computer literate
  • Ideally will have a good understanding of H&S practices
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic and confident personality
