Job Description

As the Asset Strategy Manager for Housing you will plan and provide direction for the delivery of the rolling annual, 5yr and 30yr planned programme of investment to the organisations housing stock including their commercial property.You will set out and embed the decarbonisation / sustainability, energy and fuel poverty plans working across the association to develop and deliver all homes to NetZero by 2050.Client DetailsOur client are a fantastic housing provider in South Wales. They have a brilliant culture within the team.DescriptionThe Asset Strategy Manager for housing will deliver the following;

  • Ensure all homes meet legislative requirements such as WHQS and are safe and fit for purpose
  • Lead on the delivery of all services within the Asset department ensuring value for money whilst delivering services that identify and meet the needs of our residents and local communities.
  • Ensure accurate, complete and up to date stock condition and energy / decarbonisation and property data. Use these, along with the APE model to develop forward programmes and plans including tactical and strategic housing investment decision-making, includingstock rationalisation
  • Conduct financial and non-financial appraisals on the performance of housing / commercial assets and make recommendations to business / Boards.
  • Develop a delivery plan that identifies and targets all potential funding streams
  • Work alongside Operations Heads of Service to ensure the development and delivery of a directorate plan in support of Strategy 2025
  • Ensure appropriate resources are in place to deliver services, monitor and appraise performance and develop individuals and teams while keeping structures and roles under review. Set ambitious targets for the team and intervene swiftly and consistentlywhen targets are at risk
  • Report Welsh Housing Quality Standard compliance in line with policy and Welsh Government guidance
