Job Description

Assay Development LeadCompetitive salary and benefits package, with the opportunity for genuine career development.This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly reputable and growing biotechnology business operating in the forefront of advanced therapy research.As one of our longest standing clients, the business has evolved into a position where they are again growing within the R&D teams. The hiring manager is looking to bring in an experienced analytical biologist to join an experienced team of scientists who areworking on various projects in collaboration within industry and academic institutions.This position will be a hands on analytical method development/ technical transfer role focused on cell based assays/ immunohistochemistry. There will also be increasing responsibility in line management and recruitment for the growing team. However, the newrecruit does not need previous line management experience as long as they have been working in a senior role or at a supervisory level.Experience required:

  • 2+ years minimum hands on laboratory experience in an industrial environment only
  • Cell line culture experience is essential (any experience working with stem cells would be beneficial)
  • As much experience as possible with the following assays; FACS, ELISA, PCR, immunohistochemistry.
  • Either; experience in a senior role OR experience of supervising/ training staff or managing projects independently
  • Knowledge with functional cell assays would be great but can be trained.
  • Any knowledge or understanding of exosomes would be beneficial but is not required.
  • Desire to progress to work in a line management role and grow own team.
