Job Description

Do you have a background in orthopaedics, trauma, or sports medicine Are you keen to work for one of the UK’s leading Orthopaedics companies Our client is currently looking for an Area Sales Manager for their Bristol and South Wales region.The companyOur client is well-respected, dynamic orthopaedics company who are growing year on year. They also value progression and development, making it a fantastic place to grow your career.The roleAs an Area Sales Manager you’ll manage the Bristol and South Wales territory, providing training support to numerous stakeholders in both NHS and private hospitals, from Orthopaedic surgeons to procurement departments. They’re looking for an experienced sales representative who is enthusiastic and eager to maintain and grow the territory.You’ll be working with a dynamic portfolio of upper and lower extremity products.Responsibilities include:

  • Selling the product portfolio into the NHS and private sector
  • Growing the territory in line with targets
  • Maintaining and growing business in the territory
  • Attending surgery and educating and supporting Orthopaedic surgeons and theatre staff
  • Providing training on the product portfolio to theatre staff
  • Reporting into the RSM
  • Managing the territory and customers
  • Attending tradeshows and exhibitions
  • The requirementsYou will live within the desired territory. This territory covers South Wales (as far North as Aberystwyth) and the Bristol area (extending out to Gloucester and Chippenham). The ideal location for the candidate would be Bristol, Gloucester or Cardiff and ability to travel around the whole territory is essential.As well as this, you will have:
  • Existing relationships within the territory
  • At least one years’ experience in sales (preferably in Orthopaedics/Sports Medicine/Trauma)
  • Knowledge of anatomy/physiology
  • Computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suite)
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and at relationship building
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
